The lower corners have been perfected to be consistent with the upper ones (though that's not really noticeable, but I am a perfectionist). The face set is rearranged to have four faces in a row instead of three, thus having some of the faces moved to different areas. The eyes are made perfectly round on the face base. UPDATE (): Updating faces to my more current style (in which the lines surrounding the mouth are disconnected from the nose). Toby's "laughing" face is based on an illustration from RWS "Ghost Train", whilst his "cheeky" face is loosely based on the one from Si3D's (R.I.P.) RWS Toby model. I've done an earlier take on this as well, but thought that the eyes looked too big. One thing I'd like to mention is that my dad and I always liked to refer to Toby's surprised face as the "OO Face" (and have done so long before Thomas's " O Face" became a meme). I going to echo what someone said on The SiF Blog and say that Toby's large eyes and personality are very reminiscent to a wise old owl (perhaps this is why someone, some years ago, chose him to play Owl from "Winnie-the-Pooh" instead of using Gordon, a more obvious choice, when they made Thomas parody clips of that series). Who could forget the main character from Tinesaeriel 's fan film, Tobias and the Half-Pariah? LOL!īut seriously, I couldn't forget our beloved wise old steam tram. Sodor Isn't As Magical As It Used To Be, It's 2021, And The Past Few Years Have Been Hard, Even For Sodor, People Don't Appreciate The Engines And Railways Anymore, And Everything's Rather Dingy, But The Engines Are Still Determined To Be The Best They Can, Whether That Be The Engines Of The North Western Railway, The Gallant Skarloey Narrow Gauge Railway, The Lovely Arlesdale Miniature Railway Or The Wonderful Culdee Fell Mountain Railway, Of Course, Nowadays, Some People Would Spell Gallant, Lovely, And Wonderful With Sarcastic Quotes, But The Engines Of Their Respective Railways Wouldn't, Mostly Because They Lack Hands.
